Pottsville, Pennsylvania – June 18, 2007 – Sharif Tanamli is pleased to announce that his client United Metal Receptacle Corporation has completed a sale of assets to the Rubbermaid Commercial Products business unit of Newell Rubbermaid Inc. Together, United Metal Receptacle and Rubbermaid Commercial Products will offer the market a more substantial product offering and best-of-breed business practices capitalizing on the synergies and combined talents and expertise of both companies. The management teams of both companies are excited about the potential growth associated with this relationship and will aggressively identify opportunities to become a more valuable partner to their customers.
Sharif Tanamli initiated this transaction and served as the exclusive financial advisor to United Metal Receptacle Corporation. Mr. Tanamli worked closely with United’s management and shareholders to explore strategic alternatives and coordinate the sale and negotiation process. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed by the parties.
